2020/2021 Regional Education Courses
I hope you are keeping well and safe during these extremely challenging times. The Coronavirus crisis has meant the Union is having to adapt quickly to continue supporting our members and activists to the same high standards, but in different and innovative ways.
To keep you and our employees’ safe, Unite Education is moving in the short term, to online delivery. From now until December 2020 we are moving our courses into virtual classrooms; training will take place using the video conferencing software that lockdown has made us all very familiar with, run as a virtual classroom.
These courses will be limited to 12 reps with 2 tutors on each course. Please note that the 2020 programme is currently the Workplace Reps 1A and 1B and Health and Safety Reps 1A and 1B together with the 5 day Mental Health Awareness and Equalities’ courses. We are hoping to add further dates for the advanced courses as we progress.
Please note that courses will run from 9.30 to 4.30 Monday to Friday.
To get the most out of any of these virtual courses you will need access to a PC or laptop preferably (Some tablets may work) and have an internet connection.
As always please ensure you have secured paid release from your employer, if you have difficulty in securing paid release please contact your full time Officer.
